Thanks for stopping by the site! I’m the author of NIGHT SPEED, as well as the ROOTLESS trilogy, and though I was born and raised in the UK, I now live in the mile high city of Denver, Colorado. I have spent a lot of my life writing fiction but also like to head out on adventures with my dog and my camper van (featured on the homepage!), and I also work as a therapist and make music. BIO

Chris Howard was awarded a Publishers Weekly "Flying Start" in 2012, following the release of his debut novel, ROOTLESS (Scholastic Press), which has been published in eight different languages to date. Rootless was followed by THE RIFT, and the final book of the trilogy, THE RECKONING, while the standalone sci-fi thriller NIGHT SPEED (HarperCollins) was published in the summer of 2016. Before he wrote stories, Chris wrote songs, studied natural resources management, worked for the National Park Service, and led wilderness adventure trips around the world. He was born and raised in the UK, but now lives in Denver, CO. Thought he still writes stories, he is currently working as a therapist, and he records music under the name Fantastic Mister Ox.
